Not Guilty – Aggravated Assault – Commonwealth v. C.V.
The Commonwealth charged C.V. with Aggravated Assault as a felony of the first degree and other charges for hitting her aunt with a bat and punching her cousin in the face. She did neither.
At a two-day non-jury trial, Ms. Snyder was able to expose lies in almost every facet of each of the three government witnesses’ testimony and point out that no bat was recovered from the defendant’s house or car that day.
On the last day, Ms. Snyder’s client was able to tell her story about the single swing she took at her cousin after he had violently thrown her to the floor and how her aunt made up the story about the bat so that she could blame an existing injury on C.V. C.V. was found not guilty.
